Hello,

Yesterday, I installed AstraSync on my Boss' Blackberry. During the install, I selected the option to "Delete Device Items" to aviod data duplication. Now his calendar does not have anything prior to the maximum sync range of one month prior. This is not good.

1) Why does AstraSync delete items before the maximum sync range?
2) How can I get his historical data back on the Blackberry?

1) Did the events that got deleted exist on the server as well? If they did exist on the server were these also deleted?

2) To get the historical data back on the BlackBerry I suggest that you install the backup you took of the calendar using Desktop Manager before installing AstraSync. Alternatively although the device items were deleted as long as these existed on the server then you should be able to sync them from here.

Hi Vicky,

1) Yes, the items existed on the server, and no, they did not get deleted.

2) How can I sync them back in Desktop Manager without creating duplicates?

Please try this to see if it helps:

Sync your phone to the server so that the server contains all the calendar data. Within AstraSync go to Options > Sync Settings and unselect calendar. Press yes so that all the events are removed from your phone. Go to the Calendar app > Options > General Options > Scroll down to Actions and then change Keep Appointments to 30, 60, 90 days or forever. Set AstraSync to sync calendar data again and this should populate your calendar once more.
