If you are able to Sync either your email or contacts, then go into AstraSync , Menu > Options > Diagnostics Settings. Select 'Enable Diagnostics'. Hit Menu > Save.

If you are not able to do the above then continue with the instructions below:

Can you force the error again by hitting Sync Now? Once you do that, go into the Device Event Log and try to obtain the stack trace that is associated with this exception.

On the Storm, to access the log:

-From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, display the menu and then select Show Keyboard.
-Hold the number key to lock the number keyboard. The 123 icon appears on the top-right of the screen, and a small lock appears on the number key.
-Press the ( , ) ( 5 ) ( , ) ( 5 ) keys.

There should be an entry for java.lang.illegalargumentexception. To give you an idea, once you select it, it will look like:

Name: NullPointerException
No detail message

Please obtain the full stack trace, and paste it here.

Once you have done that, if you enabled the Diagnostics then be sure to turn it off. Let me know once this is done by either responding here or emailing support@astrasync.com.
