No Calendars to Choose From Options

I just installed AstraSync for the first time, and when I go to select the calendar to sync events too, the only choices are "Events List". I don't see any choice of calendars, and I have four email addresses attached to this blackberry.

Any thoughts? I've already reset the phone plenty of times. Thanks.

Hello maddog2727,

It is possible that the other email addresses do not have calendars associated with them.

Please go to:

BB Homescreen > Calendar > Options

There should be a list of device calendars displayed. This list should match with AstraSync. As you are only able to see Events List in AstraSync, I would expect this view to only show you this calendar to. This is the device default calendar, the name varies from device to device, and may also be called 'Device Default'

Is this what you are seeing?

Hello maddog2727,

There is ann OS bug that causes the query for the list of the device's calendars to not return a list of calendars, in which case AstraSync defaults to the device default, in this case 'Events List'.

This is most likely responsible for the calendars not showing up.

Please check with your carrier to see if an OS upgrade is available. Some users have also reported that downgrading to a previous OS has resolved calendar issues.

Hi Ranald,

There is no update yet to the OS, as 5.0 hasn't been released yet, and that will be next upgrade. I'm on the most current version of the software.

As much as some people have downgraded to resolve the issue, I won't downgrade as it will bring some compatability issues with some of my other programs.

Are there any other alternatives, as now I'm stuck with a program that will not work properly. Had I known this issue previously, I would've not purchased the software.

I am having this same issue on my Curve 8330, running OS 4.5.0.186. Has there been any resolution to this issue?

Hello spiveyrb1,

As this bug is with the OS there is not anything that AstraSync can do to resolve it on our own. As Ranald suggests earlier in the thread, have you tried either an OS upgrade (if available) or a downgrade to see if this resolves the problem?

Thank you for your response, Vicky! Unfortunately, there is no upgrade currently available, and downgrading to the previous OS would put me at the same OS as the OP was utilizing with the same issues.

AstraSync can only display a list of calendars present on the device that the device returns to us. If the device doesn't show other calendars are present then we cannot utilise then.

If you are able to add events to these other calendars on the device then we suggest that you check that the right services books have been installed with these. One thought is that if these are missing this might be why the device is not telling AstraSync that the calendar exists.
Other than that unfortunately there is nothing else we can do.
