Sync problem with CommuniGate Pro Options

- Syncing large calendars (about 1500 items) takes hours and stops after a while with this error "Large number of changes reported by server for collection type2"
- After changing some items on bb and Outlook users get this message:
Exception getting changes to PIM collection user@domain. Exception details: cr: AstraSync detected a large number of user@domain deletions. Since this is likely an unintended result of removing a BIS account AstraSync will not perform the deletion. Turning user@domainsyncing off and on will re-sync items from the server. Contact support for more assistance.

How can we solve these problems?

Hello philipp,

Please deselect all the collections, by going to AstraSync Options > Sync Settings - uncheck the collections

Removing all the collections resets the sync relationship between the server and the device.

After the collections have all be removed, this may take some time with your very large calendar collection, renable calendar collection. During this initial sync you should recieve the warning about it being a large number of changes, with a confirmation dialogue box. Agree to proceed and this will sync the collection to your device.

After this has completed, making changes to the calendar collection on the device will not throw up the excessive change exception.

The problem sill occurs when changing items on the bb and changing other items in Outlook too. In this case AstraSync does not seem to be able to handle these changes on both sides and come up with an error message like too many changes or deletions.

This problem even affect users with a quite low amount of cal / contact items.
