I have my email and contacts syncing properly, but not the Calendar.

When I go into Options -> Sync Settings, I have checkmarks beside Email and Contacts, but Calendar doesn't appear in the list at all.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

We will be investigating this and will let you know how we get on. We suspect at this stage that there is something within the new OS 5.0 that you are running on the Storm that has caused the problem. As OS 5.0 has not yet been officially released this is yet to be a supported OS version for use with AstraSync and as such you may encounter some problems.

Thank-you for your response.

Could very well have been an OS 5.0 issue.

Last night I went back to OS 4.7.0.151. I also installed the Astrasync Beta rather than the stable release. I am now syncing email, contacts and calendar. :)

I have verified that this is an issue with OS 5.0

I re-installed 5.0 on another device, and the Calendar option is no longer there. It was fine in OS 4.7

Yes I have the same issue with Storm OS 5.0.

Is there any solution? I would stay with Blackberry Storm OS 5.0, coz It has a lot of enhancements.

Regards,
Jarek

Dear Astra team.

Quite a number of subsequent 5.0 OS have leaked over the past months.
Storm owners can now choose from 4-5 versions.

I would highly appreciate if you can adjust the programme to OS 5, as it will be the official OS soon.
Calender syncing is quite an important feature...

Hi Leo,

Thank you for your feedback, we have users reporting that AstraSync functions correctly with OS 5.0 and others reporting the same problem you are experiencing. The behaviour is not consitent across the various leaked OS 5.0 builds.

We will currently not be offering 5.0 support until it is an official release, as there is a distinct possibility that we would be working to fix a problem that will have been fixed by RIM at release.

Ranald.

Dear Ranald

Thanks for your reaction, I understand your argument.

Pls be aware that 5.0.0.230 has now been officially released for various BBs

Realy looking forward to your solution!

PS have the idea that the permission setting in OS 5 is way more advanced than in OS 4.7.
The permission section for Astrasync now has three tabs.
First one called RIM, second tab is MIDP groups, third is alled MIDP JSRs.
Especially the second tab seems to set all kind of detailed access permissions. Most setting in second tab are unspecified at start.
Had problems with LogicMail, toggling settings eventually got it going.

UPDATE

It is now raining 5.0 OS's, including oficial ones.
Could you please give us an indication when we can expect a solution for this minor but annoying detail.
Prominent app makers are stating that they are updating their app Now
