How to Reset the Calendar Collection with more than one Calendar account. Options

It may be necessary to perform a procedure known as ‘Resetting the collection’ with AstraSync to clear up any issues or anomalies with the calendar. This will essentially break and then reestablish the sync relationship.

DISCLAIMER: If you have more than one Calendar account please follow this guide. To check to see if you have more than one Calendar Account go to Calendar>Options and look under accounts. You will only need to perform this guide once. For the formal Reset of the Calendar Collection please go here.


Reset the Calendar Collection

1) Verify that all of your Calendar events are backed up on the server. If not, then you need to do this first before proceeding since the method will wipe ALL calendar entries.
2) Make sure you have backed up your Calendars before continuing.
3) At the Home Screen, open the 'Manage Connection' and turn OFF All Network Connections on the device.
4) Locate the Options (Wrench Icon)> Device> Advanced System Settings> Service Book.
5) Locate any E-Mail addresses or Facebook files with a [CICAL] tag at the end.
6) Make sure you DO NOT highlight the one with the [CMIME] tag.
7) Highlighting the [CICAL]. Press the BlackBerry Button button. Delete.
8) When you go back into the Calendar, Press the BlackBerry Button> Options, it should only say,"Default" under Account.
9) Open the Calendar icon on the home screen.
10) Press the BlackBerry Button > Options
11) On the keypad, Press the following letters: W I P E
12) A pop up will then show,"Wipe all appointments from all calendars (incl. base system)?"
13) Select Yes.
14) Open up AstraSync.
15) Press the BlackBerry button>Options.
16) Navigate to Sync Settings > UNCHECK Calendars > Save.
17) A pop will say, "Resetting collection Calendars will delete all items from the device. Are you sure?
18) Select Yes.
19) Verify that there are no calendar entries left on the device.
20) At the Home Screen, open the 'Manage Connection' and turn ON Network Connections on the device.
21) Open up AstraSync again.
22) Navigate to Sync Settings > CHECK Calendars > Save.
23) From the AstraSync Options, Press the BlackBerry Button, Sync Status.
24) Sync Now. Your calendars should now be sync up from your server once again.
