We have a Blackberry 9550 and the user received a "Device ran out of memory synchronizing collections". Manually resynching the device resolved the error.
Two questions I have:
1) What would cause this error?
2) Is there a way to supress errors like this since re-synching fixed it?

Thanks,
Tom

Hello,

This problem doesn't occur too often unless the device had the memory drained from it. Common causes of memory drainage are standard throughout all devices, as I see this with even the newest devices today.

A good rule of thumb for all mobile devices is to perform a battery pull every 2-3 days, as this will clear up the cache for the ram, as well as release the hold on memory that has leaked out throughout the past few days. Most electronic devices using RAM are susceptible to memory leakage. Also make sure you close applications that aren't currently in use to free up memory for the device, as many applications have the potential to leak memory as well.
