Hello,

Everything was working properly, but suddenly I am not able to Sync Emails. Contacts and calendar are working. Can you help?

Hello Jan,

If you go into your sync status, do you notice any error messages displayed on screen?

Please try resetting the email collection as described here. http://forum.astrasync.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1065

If that doesn't help please let us know and we will need to get you to gather some diagnostics logs from the device to investigate further.

Hi,

I'm having exactly same issue and error message as reported by Jan.
I tried resetting the email collection as described in the provided link, but I'm still getting same error message.
Will appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Shamai

Hi Shamai,

When this error comes up what collection is it trying to use e.g contacts, calendar or email? It may that the collection having this issue is not email but one of the others in which case you can try resetting that collection instead. Please take a backup before you reset the contact or calendar collections.

Hi Vicky,

It's email. It always happens when trying to sync the inbox folder (it succeeds to sync any other folder - including "Sent Items" folder - prior to Inbox, but always fail with this error on Inbox).

Hi Shamai,

Has the email collection previously synced without this error? What server are you connecting to e.g Exchange, Kerio, Gmail etc? If this has never worked before and you are syncing against an unsupported server this maybe a server issue that we are possibly unable to resolve.

Hi Vicky,

Yes, the email syncing worked for me for the past month and a half without any issue or error, and suddenly I started receiving this error since last Thursday whenever it tries to sync the Inbox folder.
I'm connecting to an Exchange server.

Thanks,
Shamai

Hi Shamai,

In case this error is related to a specific email try moving all your emails that arrived on the day before and the day of this issue to a sub folder in your email client. Try then to sync in AstraSync. If the sync completes without error then you can try slowly moving back messages in blocks until you isolate which one is the cause.

If you are still having the error then we can investigate further as follows:
-Please go to Options > Diagnostic Settings with AstraSync and enable diagnostics and save. Tick Use Wifi if you are connecting via this.
-Go to Options > Sync Settings and uncheck email and save. Wait till the inbox is clear then go back and turn this email sync on again.
-Wait till you get your error again in the Sync Status screen.
-Go back to Diagnostics Settings and disable diagnostics and save.

Please then email support@astrasync.com referencing this post with your username and domain from AstraSync so that we can find your logs here to review.
