It may be necessary to perform a procedure known as ‘Resetting the collection’ with AstraSync to clear up any issues or anomalies with the Contacts/Address Book. This will essentially break and then re-establish the sync relationship.

To Reset the Contacts Collection

1) Verify that all of your Contacts are backed up on the server or BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If not, then you need to do this first before proceeding since the method requires you to wipe the Contacts on the device.
2) Make sure you have backed up your Contacts before continuing.
3) At the Home Screen, open the 'Manage Connection' and turn OFF All Network Connections on the device.
4. Open the Contacts icon on the home screen.
5) Press the BlackBerry Button > Options
6) On the keypad, press the following letters: R S E T
7) A pop up will then show, Wireless synchronization for Default, is not enabled. Wipe contact list anyway?
8) Select Yes.
9) Open up AstraSync.
10) Press the BlackBerry button>Options.
11) Navigate to Sync Settings > UNCHECK Contacts > Save.
12) A pop will say, "Resetting collection Contacts will delete all items from the device. Are you sure?
13) Select Yes.
14) Verify that there are no contacts left on the device.
15) At the Home Screen, open the 'Manage Connection' and turn ON Network Connections on the device.
15) Open up AstraSync again.
16) Navigate to Sync Settings > CHECK Contacts > Save.
17) From the AstraSync Options, Press the BlackBerry Button, Sync Status.
18) Sync Now. Your contacts should now be sync up from your server once again.

NOTE: If you have more than 1,000 contacts, it may take several minutes to sync.
