Trying to RE-install for the 3rd time in order to correct sync issues ....

Since items that were previously on the phone have now been merge synced with the existing server contacts, have decided to wipe the BB Storm data and start off fresh.

When choosing to delete device items prior to syncing ( Only syncing Contacts and Calendar - Email is through BIS )the following error displayed

An error occurred
deleting items:
PIMItem not found.

Please help! Client is VERY frustrated with Astrasync !!! in two weeks of using this product, not one successful complete sync has occurred!

Hello Mary,

After the installation process and during the setup wizard, did you say YES/Confirm to all of the prompts?

Hello Mark,

We had another user with this problem recently.

Which blackberry device and operating system is your device currently using?

Could you also check for me to see if there are items in the contacts and calendar folders?

Also, I would like you to do a hard reset (by pulling the battery from the phone), restarting Astrasync, and check to see if the data will delete this time.

Anthony,
I am using the Storm (9530) with OS 5.0.419. There are items in the Contacts and Calendar folders. I have done a few hard resets and restarted Astrasync and the data will not delete, I keep getting the same PIMItem not found error message.

I got this error after managing to duplicate calendar entries on both my BB device and my Exchange mailbox setting up an additional BIS e-mail acct after astrasync was already installed and running and trying to clean up the duplicates. If I tried removing the calendar as a folder to be synched (to start from scratch) and it tried to clear the calendar on my BB it would crap out with this error as well. Don't bother trying to clear the calendar from Astrasync is the point here, it won't no matter what you do. Instead I uninstalled Astrasync, used the backup/restore Advanced portion of BB desktop mgr to clear the calendar and/or contact folders, and reinstalled Astrasync. I was back in business again.

Hope this helps

FYI,

I'm trying the software out on my bold 9700 with v5 and getting the same error. Original sync with calendar went beautifully. Now error everytime it syncs. Tried the "reset" option of the calendar and just get the PIM error.

I just now deleted the software and will try reinstall. Hopefully will get this resolved, as I need to decide to purchase in a few days.
