I am having a problem syncing calendar items on my blackberry 8800. It has been working fine until 2 weeks ago. Since then it gives me the error: java.lang.illegalargumentexception and stalls. I have rebooted the phone and tried deleting a few calendar items but no luck. How should I fix this?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,

Is this error accompanied by further information in the debug log or on the Sync Status screen?

It is possible that a particular calendar entry is corrupt and causing this problem.

Please try resetting the calendar collection, as detailed here:

If after resetting the collection you are still experiencing this issue, please let me know and I will have AstraSync Support contact you directly to work with you to resolve this issue.

Thank you,

Ranald.

OK thanks, I have attempted to follow the instructions to reset the calendar collection. The first step is to unselect calendar from sync settings and save. This is not working... I can unselect calendar but when I try to save it merely sits there. I have tried to select save from the main screen and from the popup menu. No effect at all. I am forced to cancel out. I have tried pulling the battery and trying it again. No help.
Current version is 4.0.17 should I try upgrading to the 4.0.25?

Hello Mark,

Yes, please install 4.0.25. It contains important fixes.

To ensure a clean installation. I would suggest that you remove AstraSync 4.0.17 first then install the latest version, rather than performing an upgrade.

As I said, if this still does not resolve the issue, let me know and I will have AstraSync Support contact you to collect diagnostic information from your device.

Thank you,

Ranald.

OK, I have completed a complete uninstall of astrasync and reinstalled after a reboot. I was then taken through an account setup. Once the account was verified I was asked to choose the sync options. This is where I ran into similar problems as before. I decided to just select the calendar for sync, then attempting to choose next no progress occurred. I could not select next. This as I say was similar to the trouble I was experiencing when it would not allow me to unselect calendar from the sync options and save. That is where I sit at this time. Please advise.
